Saturday, February 14th, 2009

The Texas Roadhouse is a chain of family restaurants that is located in 44 states with over 300 individual restaurants. Serving a variety of dishes, ranging from hand cut steaks, ribs, chicken and fish, there is a little something for everyone.

By taking the spice and taste of Texas across the United States, you can enjoy the homemade flavors of Texas without having to travel down to the south.

The Texas Roadhouse was founded by Kent Taylor, who wanted to bring good steaks, great ribs and cold beer to people of all income ranges.

By combining fair prices with good portion sizes, the Texas Roadhouse has filled a demand for good, southern home cooked food that can be found across much of the country. This goal is continually met, with endorsements and awards going out to the Texas Roadhouse for high quality food and great service.

The Texas Roadhouse was ranked number one for menu variety and value in the Restaurant and Institution Magazine’s Choice in Chains Guest Survey.

The menu of the Texas Roadhouse has a large variety of mild and spicy dishes. There are appetizers to dull even the strongest hunger, ranging from chicken bites to spicy cheese fries and tater skins. There are vegetarian appetizers, as well as those designed just for the meat lover.

Christmas in Redgum Village, Dandaragan.

Wednesday, December 10th, 2008

I want to share with you some of my favourite stories from my favourite holiday, Christmas, in my favourite place, Dandaragan.

Christmas in Dandaragan has always been my favourite way to spend the festive season. The town lights up when the firs of December rolls around, literally. Dandaragan road is a spectacle with the many houses covered in wonderful seasonal lights, but you can never miss the main attraction when admiring the Christmas lights, Redgum Village always buts on a terrific show once the sun sets.

The favourite part about Christmas is Dandaragan for me was always enjoying the company of all my family in the country, for a fresh lunch outside in the sun and then spending the rest of the afternoon in the pool or under the sprinklers with my cousins.

Another main event on my families Christmas tradition is our annual staff Christmas party, I is always a fun and relaxing time that usually we spend on the back lawn. However the last few years we have hired out function room at Redgum village in the town of Dandaragan. The casual, warm atmosphere of Redgum Village really does top off the evening.

I doubt that there is a better way to celebrate Christmas. The Dandaragan area is so low key and welcoming to any visitor that you pre or post Christmas celebrations would be very unique and unforgettable.

Accommodation in West Australia

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

Your company has just secured a large government project in a remote mining location in West Australia, awesome, great and you are celebrating the victory.

The second thing that you now need to address is how we are going to find accommodation in West Australia for a large group of people without having to transport our own accommodation facility. In other words we need an existing camp nearby that we can use or hire.

When we do a little research on accommodation in west Australia we find a number of options.
We need to search the mid west of west Australia, and from a glance there is not a lot available although once narrowed down, a great little place that is in the mid west and is a accommodation complex in west Australia comes up as the Redgum Village.

The Redgum Village in Dandaragan has the required facility we require. It has:

65 rooms

Your Husband Is On The Grog, The Kids Are Screaming And The Guests Beds Need Changing! Welcome To The Accommodation Industry.

Wednesday, October 8th, 2008

You get up off the lounge from your nanna nap to the sound of one of your screaming kids and realize he has been screaming for a while and you still have guests beds to make and a accommodation business to run.

You own a accommodation resort on the outskirts of Chicago with 40 odd guests in. They are a road crew rebuilding a major highway and will be in for a few months.
All was great until you realized just how demanding this group of people could be. I mean the last road crew in here were just great and some awesome friendships were formed. Hell even two of them Matt and Jerry call in when traveling through just to say hello and have a real hearty meal.

This crew is or seems to be the exact opposite, they don’t shower before tea, swear in the dining room, wear there dirty boots in the rooms then demand everything to be spotless clean.
As well as not being able to work out to operate the TV as the remote isn’t working, or the cake of soap is the wrong brand and smells bad.

All this we can handle, thats part and parcel of the accommodation hospitality industry.
What I am struggling with is that the team boss is a ass-hole and keeps threatening to shift over to the Boulder Heights Motel 5 miles east of here.
So my hubby gets on the booze with him almost every night and they simply run a muck.

Sure the boss man is loving it, they get drunk, raid the kitchen, make a mess which really has the cook ready to hand her notice in. Now living with a drunk husband is making the home life with the kids a real challenge.

Yes we need the business as we are struggling with a few debts. However if we keep this crew in we could loose our best cook. I don’t know how much more of these screaming kids with no Dad sober enough to look after them can I take while I go and change the rooms.
Now with a crew like this in I need to oversee the rooms being changed to make sure there are next to no complaints from the so called guests.
