Redgum Motels

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

At long last we have been able to complete the first set of Motel Units here at Redgum Village.

With the need nowadays for ensuite rooms to suit just about all companies working in West Australia it only seemed right to supply them.

It does come at a huge cost for us as we are a private family business and rely on earnings from guests to pay for the upgrades. Even though we are constantly poring money back into the business we are in a catch 22 where we are damned if we do and go damned if we dont.

Even so every available cent has been used to make this happen as we know the need for the newer refurbished rooms.

The 4 new rooms are comfortable and freshly decorated to suit the immediate need of ensuited rooms. They still need a bit of decorating on the outside , although they are ready for use right now.

More of these units will be added in the very near future and we hope to have 2 more by the end of this year and be in use directly after the new year of 2010.

Redgum Village and Time Management.

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009

One thing we have to be very careful of here at The Redgum Village is time management, it is all to easy to get tied up in one job and have to rush to set up for the next one.

Here is a little article that may help you along:

There are people who come to a point in their life when they feel overwhelmed by the tasks they have to perform either at work or at home. It seems a very radical situation out of which no escape can be foreseen especially when these people are demoralized because of their more or less declared workload.

But what they do not know is that they don’t all suffer from overworking. The only trouble could be poor time management, and that can be fixed with a little care and some smart tricks.

According to specialists, time management is a set of tools, skills and methods designed and used to meet certain previously stipulated or well-defined goals and tasks.

The concept in itself is very complex and should make reference to numerous activities like planning, deciding on goals, analyzing the time invested in carrying out a task, organizing steps or stages of one’s activity, monitoring and constantly scheduling work based on pointing out priorities.

Christmas in Redgum Village, Dandaragan.

Wednesday, December 10th, 2008

I want to share with you some of my favourite stories from my favourite holiday, Christmas, in my favourite place, Dandaragan.

Christmas in Dandaragan has always been my favourite way to spend the festive season. The town lights up when the firs of December rolls around, literally. Dandaragan road is a spectacle with the many houses covered in wonderful seasonal lights, but you can never miss the main attraction when admiring the Christmas lights, Redgum Village always buts on a terrific show once the sun sets.

The favourite part about Christmas is Dandaragan for me was always enjoying the company of all my family in the country, for a fresh lunch outside in the sun and then spending the rest of the afternoon in the pool or under the sprinklers with my cousins.

Another main event on my families Christmas tradition is our annual staff Christmas party, I is always a fun and relaxing time that usually we spend on the back lawn. However the last few years we have hired out function room at Redgum village in the town of Dandaragan. The casual, warm atmosphere of Redgum Village really does top off the evening.

I doubt that there is a better way to celebrate Christmas. The Dandaragan area is so low key and welcoming to any visitor that you pre or post Christmas celebrations would be very unique and unforgettable.

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

Hi and welcome to our website,

Evan and Gaylene Bradshaw here, we own and run the Redgum Village in Dandaragan.

We actually built Redgum Village too so it’s with great pride we open our facility to you and any one who wants accommodation or function facilities here in Dandaragan.

Are you simply passing through on your way to other destinations, holidaying and sight seeing or have found work in the area?

If so you will enjoy our reasonably priced accommodation with good clean facilities and home cooked meals.

Dandaragan really does have a lot to offer for those that are seeking seasonal work or entering the mining industry. With the Ti-west joint venture mineral sands mine just down the road from the Redgum Village and a huge expansion into olives with it’s new processing plant and the Paulownia tree farm close by, not to mention traditional farming and the 2 Huge new stone fruit farms and other horticulture projects, there is no shortage of sightseeing or employment opportunities here in Dandaragan.
