Accommodation in West Australia

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

Your company has just secured a large government project in a remote mining location in West Australia, awesome, great and you are celebrating the victory.

The second thing that you now need to address is how we are going to find accommodation in West Australia for a large group of people without having to transport our own accommodation facility. In other words we need an existing camp nearby that we can use or hire.

When we do a little research on accommodation in west Australia we find a number of options.
We need to search the mid west of west Australia, and from a glance there is not a lot available although once narrowed down, a great little place that is in the mid west and is a accommodation complex in west Australia comes up as the Redgum Village.

The Redgum Village in Dandaragan has the required facility we require. It has:

Accommodation Village, or Backpacker Hostel?

Thursday, November 6th, 2008

Which way do you go for supplying accommodation to people in your area?

If you set up a Village for variouse groups of people, you have the benefit of charging more per room and making sure that your guests are well catered for.

On the other hand if you go for the backpackers, even though you do not get as much money per person you can put more people in each room.
Yoy also do not need to feed them as they have there own food and use your onsite communal kitchen.

The benefits for either way are numerous as are the faults.

Lets look at the benefits of the group of people you have booked in that need to be fed and bed changed every day.
You usually find on the first couple days they may test you as to what they expect you to do for them.
Once they are settled in and you have provided the service they require yiu will find them to be very appreciative of what you are doing for them.

On the other hand if your cook is having a bad day and has upset one of the group you will find it very difficult to repair the damage especially if they are in for only a short time.
A example would be in the morning when you have a cook that is quite stressed in the morning shift and one of the guests is a real nit picker and asks for everything instead of looking around for what he wants. After several requests the cook snaps and says open your bloody eyes and find it yourself!
As more than likely the jam jar or coffee cup is right there in front of him in the same place it always is.

Well this kind of response can send the guest into how dare you speak to me like that mode and keen for a full on argument. Now the cook is in no mood for a argument and tells him to f… off out of her kitchen!
