Redgum Motels

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

At long last we have been able to complete the first set of Motel Units here at Redgum Village.

With the need nowadays for ensuite rooms to suit just about all companies working in West Australia it only seemed right to supply them.

It does come at a huge cost for us as we are a private family business and rely on earnings from guests to pay for the upgrades. Even though we are constantly poring money back into the business we are in a catch 22 where we are damned if we do and go damned if we dont.

Even so every available cent has been used to make this happen as we know the need for the newer refurbished rooms.

The 4 new rooms are comfortable and freshly decorated to suit the immediate need of ensuited rooms. They still need a bit of decorating on the outside , although they are ready for use right now.

More of these units will be added in the very near future and we hope to have 2 more by the end of this year and be in use directly after the new year of 2010.

Expanding our Accommodation, Group Booking Village in Tough Economic Times.

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

Trying to finance a expansion project here at Redgum Village in Dandaragan is proving to be a interesting experience.

Banks want so little risk that they are shying away from what we need to do, for they struggle to see guaranteed business income in these uncertain times.

Sure I can see where they are coming from but we have a great business here and we need to get it up to the next level, and that involves borrowing money.

We could look at selling a share of our business to get a cash injection, thats a possibility, with obviouse pros and cons.

We could approach less secure type financers that command extreme interest rates, which has its pros and cons too.

Nascar Cars

Sunday, February 22nd, 2009

There was a time when NASCAR cars were just plain cars. Stock car racing began as the name would lead you to believe. The cars used by drivers were bought at dealerships, then driven to the tracks for the races. In 1947 NASCAR created the first standard rule set and a championship points system for determining the winner across a whole season of races.

In the early days tracks were crude dirt roads upon which conditions quickly deteriorated during a race. Conditions quickly destroyed plain stock cars, so NASCAR cars were quickly allowed to be modified for greater ability to handle the poor conditions.

The changes became more extreme as the years went by, both so drivers would be safer and so that races would be more exciting. The NASCAR rule book is very clear to spell out each and every modification allowed for competition.

No longer are NASCAR cars true stock cars, they’re very different from street cars. Rather than produced on an assembly line, NASCAR cars are carefully constructed by hand. Tubes make up their frames, the engines start as bare blocks, and the body is nothing but pressed sheet metal.

The tubes for the frame vary in thickness, and are shaped as both square and round. In order to keep together and protect the driver when crashes occur, the roll cage is constructed of even heavier tubing.

Thinner front and rear tube frame sections, called the clips, are designed to steal energy from a crash by crushing if they contact another car or the wall. In addition, with the force of impact, the front clip forces the engine through the floor instead of through the car to impact the driver.

Texas State Fair

Saturday, February 21st, 2009

The Texas State Fair is one of the largest events in Texas. Hosted two miles from downtown Dallas, the massive fair grounds supports several museums, a race track, livestock barns and a midway.

With millions of people visiting the Texas State Fair each year, it is one of the spectacles that envelopes visitors in a feel for Texas and all of the cultures of the State. With estimated returns of over three hundred million dollars each year, the Texas State Fair is a substantial boost to the Texas economy.

Typically, the Texas State Fair operates for a span of 24 days, starting with the last weekend in September and ranging into October. The fair grounds are open both weekends and days, with varying operating hours for each day.

One of the specialties of the Texas State Fair is the variety of foods that can be consumed. With a focus on fried food, there are oddities such as fried coke, fried peanut butter, jelly and banana sandwiches, and much more. While many of the food choices are not for those inclined to watch their weight, there are also vendors who specialize in healthier fare.

Unlike many states across the nation, it is a tradition among schools and businesses that employees and students get to take one day off per year to go to the Texas State Fair. This is among one of the busiest days of the year for the fair, as all establishments typically will take the same day off.

This is counted as an excused absence from work and schools.

Monday, February 16th, 2009

People who work at home often face unexpected situations they can’t cope with, although many of the problems could be avoided if care was taken to adopt some basic principles before making investments or setting the business in motion. Here are some examples of the things that could go wrong with your work at home. Information on what may happen implies the possibility for prevention.

My Family in Business

Entrepreneurs who choose to promote all sorts of products should be aware of the necessity to get some form of agreement for the return of the merchandise in case the work at home business doesn’t go as planned. Moreover, before investing in any stock or joining any kind of business, it is advisable to investigate about what costs, fees, equipment and supplies it involves even if you plan to conduct it in the easiest way possible.

One of the dangers with work at home is that you can become an easier prey for scams, and when the business is conducted online, it is pretty difficult to recover your losses or make the culprit respond in front of the law. Make some background research before getting to work with anybody as a form to prevent scams and save the financial trouble you could easily get into. Government agencies and Bureaus may have previous complaints on one company or another.

If the Internet has the highest risk danger for those who work at home, it is also the best source of information one can have. There are web sites specialized in identifying business scams and warning people about them. They too have a look at all sorts of business opportunities and run various tests to check the credibility and detect the potential risks. Plus, negative reviews are also present online, even if you may come across more fake ultra-satisfied customers too.

There are also work at home opportunities that have nothing to do with the Internet. Baby care and cleaning services are two often encountered situations of people who choose to use their time making their money independently. The chance to work of home is that one can dispose of personal time in a flexible manner, being able to handle part-time jobs too if it be necessary, not to mention that you get other family members join you. Therefore, if the Internet is not a valid source of information, turn to newspaper classifieds to find all sorts of work at home employment forms.
